I have an exciting experience to share with you all. This past Sunday I attended a workshop with celebrity Makeup Artist Mario Dedivanovic. I know him for his work with Kim, Khole and Kourtney Kardashian. But, he works with several celebrities and makes them all look absolutely gorgeous! I found out about his workshop late Saturday night around 11:00 PM. I immediately booked a flight to Los Angeles to attend his workshop the next day. I must admit I was hesitant, if it was worth the money but looking back now I have no regrets and would LOVE to do this again.
The workshop began at 1:00 PM with Mario performing a makeup application on a model. He was so kind and outgoing. He opened the floor to everyone attending to ask questions while he was applying makeup. I was so mesmerized by his skill, technique, knowledge and talent that I don't remember asking any questions. Instead, I just sat there and learned. I have watched him working before on Youtube and give tips for makeup application on blogs. But, being in front of him watching him work and explain his technique and theory was far more educational than any Youtube video or article read.
After the workshop, lunch was catered and following that everyone was given a model to apply makeup to. After your models makeup application was complete, there was a photo shoot to capture your work and receive professional photos for your portfolio. Mario, was so generous that he circled the room assisting people with applying makeup to their models and giving advice. I was actually nervous during this part of the day. To have someone of his caliber critique my work. Yikes! But, everything worked out because he actually liked my models makeup and complimented me. Yay! :) To top the day off, everyone went home with a bag full of makeup goodies and products that Mario uses.
I encourage anyone who is a makeup artist, beauty addict or just uses makeup to attend one of his workshops. What you will learn and observe in that one day will change and help perfect how you use makeup. I found out about Mario's workshop via his his twitter and blog. Here are some pics from the day.

My model is next to me in the first picture at the top. We have not received our pictures back from the photo shoot but once they arrive I will post them. :)

Oh, I'm so sorry. I must have forgotten to post the picture of his kit for that day. I will do it now.

I found your blog via Mario Dedivanovic's link and this post was really nice to read :) I love love Kim's makeup and Mario must be super talented. That's super that you were able to attend one of his seminars and that you booked it all last minute as well. Thanks for sharing!
@KPH He used a bronzed cream eyeshadow buy Urban Decay on the lid and Eye M Glam on top of it. I'm not sure what colors he used in the crease but they were all from his MAC palette that had several browns/neutral colors.

@ Terese, Sorry to get back to you so late. He used two concealers. The first was a cream concealer which he said "is my own blend". Therefore, the brand or brands was undisclosed. On top of that concealer he used the MUFE lift concealer, that was a shade or two lighter than the models complexion. Hope that helps.
